Bottom of your laptop
Flip your laptop over and look for a sticker — usually near the battery, hinge, or center. The model # is often labeled "Model:" or "P/N:".

Screen bezel or palm rest
Some laptops print the model name directly on the LCD bezel (above/below the screen) or on the palm rest above the keyboard.
Settings → About
Windows: Start → Settings → About → look for "Model" or "Device specifications". Mac: Apple menu → About This Mac → click "More Info".
